This vegan savoy cabbage recipe is:

Add this simple preparation to your side spread; this tender sautéed savoy cabbage comes together in no time and makes a great addition to any plant-based main dishes, like these Mushroom & Shallot Pie,  Vegan Chicken Drumsticks (gluten free or seitan based), Tofu Skewers, Stuffed Butternut Squash, Homemade Vegan Sausages or the main of your Festive table.

Making this beautiful and healthy side only requires 3 simple steps:
STEP ONE

shallots and garlic in a wok
Sauté shallots and garlic in extra virgin olive oil.
STEP TWO

raw sliced cabbage in a pan
Add finely chopped cabbage, vegetable broth and seasonings.
STEP THREE
Simmer on low heat until tender.

Easy Sauteed Savoy Cabbage Recipe

Ingredients:
1 Medium Savoy Cabbage Head
3 Shallots (or 1 Onion)
1-2 Garlic Cloves
2 tablespoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil
½ cup Water
½ tablespoon Bouillon (Vegetable)
1 teaspoon Pepper
½ teaspoon Salt 

Method:
1. Add finely chopped shallots and minced garlic to a large pan or wok with the olive oil. Heat for a couple of minutes or until it starts sizzling.
2. Add finely chopped savoy cabbage, stir well and sauté on high heat until wilted (it will take 5 to 7 minutes).
3. Season with salt and pepper, then cover with water and bouillon (or use vegetable stock).
4. Lower the heat and simmer with the lid for 30-45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
5. Serve immediately or keep in the fridge and reheat before use.

Ingredients

  • 1 Medium Savoy Cabbage Head
  • 3 Shallots or 1 Onion
  • 1-2 Garlic Cloves
  • 2 tablespoon (30 g) Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 cups (120 g) Water
  • ½ tablespoon (7 g) Bouillon Vegetable
  • 1 teaspoon (5 g) White Pepper
  • Salt to Taste

Instructions

  • Add finely chopped shallots and minced garlic to a large pan or wok with the olive oil. Heat for a couple of minutes or until it starts sizzling.
  • Add finely chopped savoy cabbage, stir well and sauté on high heat until wilted (it will take 5 to 7 minutes).
  • Season with salt and pepper, then cover with water and bouillon (or use vegetable stock).
